FAQ
Q: We have no music background, can my child learn music?
A: Yes he can. Most of us do not come from a family with music knowledge. He will soon learn how to play and appreciate music that will benefit him a lifetime.
Q: Do I need to buy a piano?
A: It is not compulsory to purchase a piano to be in the course. However, we encourage parents to at least have a digital piano for your child to practise. A good and affordable digital piano should cost around $100-$150 only. (visit our web page for recommended models)
Q: I do not know if he has interest to learn music, will he get bored?
A: We will cultivate the interest in him over time. But first, you must encourage him to go for lesson. Our lessons are full of activities. However, he will have to put in a little hard work in class. Once he knows his work, he will definitely have interest.
Q: If he joins in Term 3, will he be able to follow the lesson?
A: No problem at all. We teach according to individual progress. He will definitely catch-up with the rest in no time.
Q: How long must he practise everyday at home?
A: For a start, he does not need to practice at home. All work will be done in class. As lesson progresses, he will have to practise his pieces at home and familiarize it before the next lesson. We recommend 5-10 min a day of practice. That will add up to 1 hour a week!
